A/C Tune-Up - Points of Service Checklist
- Clean evaporator and condenser coils
- Clean and inspect evaporator drain pan and drain lines
- Inspect overall condition of equipment for rust or corrosion
- Check fan motor operation and record amps/volts
- Check fan blade condition
- Check all refrigerant piping for visual signs of chaffing, cracks or leaks
- Check condensor coil for signs of refrigerant leaks, insulation, deterioration and corrosion
- Check compressor oil levels, signs of oil leaks, vibration or unusual noises
- Install drain tablets in drain pan
- Inspect drive belts and adjust tension as needed
- Check and lubricate all motors and bearings
- Check all related electrical power connections for tightness, security, chaffing and signs of overheating
- Check condition of all contactors, relays, switches and controls for pitting, overheating, chattering or binding
- Check all panels, covers, doors, etc. for being secure and installed correctly
- Check thermostat and calibrate if necessary
